I don't necessarily believe Biden didn't do things over time that most politicians do that are Quazi-ethical at best. If his son was working at a company, might Joe tend not to single it out if it's sketchy. Sure, quite possible. But that's almost impossible to prove and you need people testifying under penalty of perjury not everything else.

It was a conspiracy theory since Trump mentioned it was the China Flu.

Then they claimed Hunter's laptop was a conspiracy theory before the election.

Then they said to wear a mask, close businesses, and even forced vaccines, etc.

They labeled the crazy conspiracy theorists anti-vaxxers.

It goes on an on.


The best as I can tell, the media has been doing this since Walter Cronkite.

Garbage in and garbage out.

That's why I try to avoid all the misdirection.

They're not credible.

So when the government admits Wuhan, that likely means they're up to something else (like hiding Ukraine evidence).

You don't have an honest report if you claimed that the virus was a lab leak right off, because there was no way to know that. So nothng dishonest to suggest what Fauci suggested. Fauci never claimed that he knew for sure that it was from the wild. But he had more reason to believe it was from the wild, at that time based on his conversations with other scientists.

The experts on Hunter's laptop didn't declare it to be Russia propaganda, but they gave it a high probability.

The original mask lie about them not being needed was to preserve limited protection equipment for hospital personnel who absolutely should get stuff they are assumed to need before the public. I say that motive is fine. And overall, I'd say, regardless of effectiveness it was probably better to err on wearing vs finding out later they would have helped but you told them they were useless. More data is in now, and more likely will be later. But I still say "err on wearing vs. not wearing."

As far as mask protection (and it's hardly a perfect analogy) I use the idea of the choice to stand behind a chain link fence vs nothing down range on a driving range of a golf course. Golf balls can pass through the chain link fence but it will deflect some of them, so you won't get hit by as many which you would appreciate.

Reducing the viral load may not be as good as blocking it, but it could be significant to remaining healthy. The body's normal defenses likely stopped some of corona just like it does with all other potential infectors. The mask may have reduced the load just by some reflection.

I think a person has to go a little bit at a time before seeing the deception.

Someone could be wearing them over their genitals for all we know. Means nothing overall.

It doesn't really matter where the make believe virus began, as long as folks continue to get the vaccine.

Can we get this thread back on topic of the Ukraine war?

I expect that Bahkmut will fall in the next couple of days. Pretty interesting that Ukraine has done no offensives in quite some time. I know playing defense is much easier but if they don't take some initiative in the next month or so it will be a bad sign. They finally have some longer range weapons so I would expect some barrages every few days and then they should begin a move.
