Trump announcing breakthrough success, and it failing to take. No surprise.

Quote:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that he had ordered "powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip immediately" in retaliation for what Israeli officials say was a Hamas attack on Israeli forces in the city of Rafah.

The big picture: The deal to end the war in Gaza was easily President Trump's biggest diplomatic achievement this term. It's now looking incredibly fragile.
Trump is not a genius; you're just dumb.

Fragile? It’s a SUCCESS. The hostages are free. If Hamas misbehaves (no surprise) Israel will punish them (no surprise). TRUMP DID HIS JOB.

He wants a peace prize, not a hostage prize.

Israel just launched a missile into Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, killing a Hezbollah leader. It also killed a few more people, and wounded a bunch. Israel claimed the guy was still doing terrorist stuff, but I’m surprised that Israel CAN do this, and suffers no repercussions. If the worst man in the world is in the USA, I don’t think we’d be happy if a foreign government took him out with a big missile.

That being said, I’m glad terrorists targeting Israel know there is nowhere for them to hide.

This is not a great move, that attack an external country during an ongoing ceasefire for over a year (not related to the current deal with Hamas.) And, they attacked an apartment building killing and sounding many innocent Lebanese (who have nothing to do with whatever is going on in Gaza,) to maybe kill some Hezbollah commander.

This kind of stuff is what degrades good will and support. It's already easy enough to demonize Israel. They don't really need to be bombing apartment buildings in Lebanon to kill supposed washed out Hezbollah commanders.

:"Goodwill?"

No Arab has ANY "goodwill" for the Jews.

Israel gets away with this shit for one reason: they're a powerful foe.

I'm not talking about locally/regionally, I mean internationally. Even in the U.S., even on the right, more people are turning against Israel.

Israel is very powerful, but they rely on lots of foreign government, if U.S./EU/UK start to turn on them, in the modern world, would not be great for them.
