So far there is no evidence that the boyfriend had a concealed carry permit as claimed by the woman.

Don't think it matters at this point if no gun was ever shown prior to the shooting. The thing that factors, is what he said, and how that plays out in court.

However if it turns out the gun was out of his pocket and visible that would play directly into it.

Also, I can get a ticket for equipment in my car not working. What are they doing when the police don't have their body cameras hooked up properly?

I wondered about that, anybody can say they have a permit.

The man had record of being stopped by police 52 times. It seems unlikely that he would have been able to get a CC permit. By then he should have realized that doing anything fast in front of a policeman is a bad idea.

I got stopped a couple years ago
and that was the first time since
the 80's. I can't imagine getting
stopped 52 times. He for sure
would never qualify for a permit.

Two bailiffs were killed and a deputy sheriff wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon at a courthouse in Berrien County, Mich., authorities said. The gunman was also killed.

The Berrien County sheriff did not go into detail about the nature of the incident, saying only that there was “a disturbance” on the courthouse’s third floor shortly before 2:30 p.m.

Berrien is in the extreme SW part of MI.
It's where Four Winds casino is. A poor
county, lots of slums, lots of crime. Lots
of meth sellers.

When Four Winds opened in 2007, they
had a ton of Black people working there.
Dealers, valet drivers, janitors. Two months
later they were 90% gone. I asked around
and was told most were let go because
they only would come in about 3 days a
week. Warning after warning and they were
replaced by people who really wanted jobs.

The Alton Sterling killing in Baton Rouge

The police are not playing nice
The store owner Abdullah Muhlafi, proprietor of the Triple S Mart that videotaped the incident of his friend that got killed outside his store
He is suing the police for false arrest, false imprisonment, the illegal taking and seizing of his security system, illegally commandeering his business.
He was detained for 4 hours.
During the 4 hours, he was not allowed to go to the bathroom, he was told to do his business outside in full view of the police.
They would not allow him to call family or a lawyer.
He never saw a warrant as police seized his personal property
The Police never filed a search warrant application to search his store
He never signed Voluntary Consent to Search Form

They rarely do. Any officer caught being nice gets thirty days of special duty, ie, no donuts.
