If you start with a false premise, that god is
real, you then have to construct a bizarro world
where everything fits together.

Again you have zero evidence or reason to say this is a false premise. Secondly, only with the notion of God does the fact there is something rather than nothing make sense. Also a universe that is beautiful, ordered, and follows strict laws makes sense with God and does not make sense in atheism. The fact that there is intelligent life or life at all, much more so that life that can actually think and ponder its own existence and seek out higher truths, do science, and create technology - all this jives perfectly with God. What in this world doesn't fit with the premise that there is a God?

is an idea, he can only be found in the head
of a believer. The same place Santa and unicorns
live..

Some thoughts are true. Democracy, human rights, equality, the scientific method, God, etc...

That's what you do when you look at both
sides of something, you make a conclusion.

You just said you looked at both sides and found equal evidence for both, namely none. So why or how did you make a conclusion? Were you biased by your starting point because of your upbringing or was it something else?

there is nothing easy about any of these questions.

They're as easy or as hard as you
want to make them. They fit your
agenda, so of course you make
them complicated. You can twist
them around to make your points.
I have no points to make, so the
questions are easy for me.

I have to go to a wedding now, but
I really only go to the reception. I
can't sit thru the churchy part anymore,
soooo boring, and so not like real
marriage.

Have a great time, when you come back I hope you will answer some more of the questions I have posted. Congrats to the bride and groom!

The conclusion is, god is a dead end. Can't
prove he's there, can't prove he's not. It's
right up there with alien abductions. Not
worth my time until proof comes along. Until
then, I mark it off my list.

I strongly suspect if god and aliens did exist,
there would be a preponderance of evidence.
There isn't, and that right there says something.

Suckers. Cute little Christian kids getting
married so they screw each others heads
off. Not a good reason for marriage.

So God may exist, you are just waiting for some stronger maybe more personal evidence. I hear ya, I was there. Just be careful you don't fall into the lack of evidence is evidence of lack error.

Gosh I hope there is more to it than that. I bet they want to raise a family together too.

So God may exist,

No, there is no god. No evidence, no
god. If there was something, it would
be far from anything we could ever
comprehend. It would be more along
the lines of Heinlein's 'thou art god,
meaning a force that permeates the
universe that we are part of. It is us
and we are it. We are god expressing
ourselves as humans, and animals and
trees and bugs. There is no outside
force, like your personal god. It's all
inclusive, we are it and it is us. There's
no point in looking for that, it's like
trying to see your own eyes without a
mirror.

How about any evidence. So far there is none.

After 10,000 hours or so of discussion, you'd think that point would be clear by now.

I've not seen one iota of evidence that a god did anything yet. You know you have to have some reasonable connection that A(god) causes B to know a god caused anything. Even to dot a sentence.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?
