get used to it, they tried it with Bush for 8 years. Bush blew people away in private meeting with his encyclopedic knowledge of any subject that came up. The truth is, a stupid person could never get close to the nomination process, let alone the presidency. They have already forgotten Trump was in the center position of every debate because he was ahead in the polls for every debate. He got rid handily of 17 contenders. His skill and smarts got rid of them one by one, we saw it as it happened. Little Marco and Low Energy Jeb and Lying Ted were strokes of political genius. If you take a risk, you may lose. Some tighty-righty "news" site--I think it was Fox News--crowed "Trump Fulfills His Promise" re the Mexi-wall. How so? Well. apparently he said he'd do it, for the 449th time. So I guess that in Trumper reality, that constitutes fulfilling a promise. That Mexico would pay for the wall in any way, shape or form is a stupid fantasy, as is the wall itself. Trump said he'd tax Mexican imports 20%. Ignoring for the moment the simple fact that Presidents don't have the power to levy taxes, if that actually happened, the people who would pay for it are US consumers who buy products that are wholly or partially made in Mexico, companies that import goods for sale in the US, and the Treasury, from lost revenue due to those companies' reduced profitability. So WE would be paying for, as Nieto put it, the "f***ing wall." But it won't ever happen. |

Since they've said the exact opposite, I doubt that they "know it." Not everything that Trumpie says will happen will actually come to pass. I know that's a terrible blow to you. Really, Bob, exactly how does Trump have the lawful ability to extort payments from another country? Tell us how Mexico--THE COUNTRY OF MEXICO--will pay for the wall. You're big on accurate predictions, Bob, so give us the full story. |
