The panhandle of Idaho has been radicalized for a long time. I was in Sandpoint when the Supremacists blew up the courthouse in Coeur D'alene. Working for the power company, we got to go out and remove all the transformers from the devil worshipping compound in Rathdrum. There was a sign on the bridge going into Sandpoint warning black people not to be in town after dark. Hayden lake is famous for it's supremacists bar.

Now if you can somehow tie this to queer-bashing...

Simple. You bash religion the same way people you complain about bash queers.

Nice try.

Religion is an intangible idea, so "bashing" it hurts nobody.

But queers, when bashed with clubs, will be grievously hurt.

Again, I do not hate people who are religious; alas I cannot truly respect their beliefs because they are counter-intuitive and not backed up by science / reality.

That is why it is called "faith" you see.

Reality is if you believe in science you should believe as science says life cannot generate out of nothing yet we have life. So life had to come from some higher power.

Meanwhile science has yet to find the "gay gene" yet you still believe it exists.

I really like Sandpoint
I have friends that live near there
Land was extremely cheap 30 to 40 years ago
I got the opposite vibe
Spent the day at their farmers market weekly festival last fall
Had a great time
Guy on stage played a Grateful Dead song for me

Good grief, did youl flunk biology in high school?

Science most certainly does have an explanation for how life came about, as well as the universe.

I do concede there are unanswered questions as to cosmology, but I posit that the answer has nothing to do with the Christian concept of god.

What is this "gay gene" of which you speak?

I never said there was such a thing; if there is I never saw proof of it.

It is true though that some are gay, some are not: that is reality.

No, I passed. And I remember spontaneous generation being disproved.

The one that makes them "born that way" as homophiles say.

Baloney, it has NEVER been "disproved;" fact is, more evidence in support of the theory is forthcoming; see e.g.:

You said that I believe such a gene exists: nope, I never said that.

Maybe there is, dunno.

I don't know quite what causes people to be gay, nor do I particularly care.

I believe any “straight person” who claims being gay is a choice is actually a homosexual.

Clearly they have gay thoughts that they CHOOSE not to act upon - otherwise how could they be so certain that it is or isn’t a choice?

...as I've said before, there's plenty of heterosexual parents allowed to lecture, enforce any behavior they like, preach any sort of nonsense. They can also support their kids having any number of medical procedures. There's a lot of leeway to abusing kids without breaking the law. But we're going to focus on one small group of people just trying to bring up kids their own way?

Common sense is ok to teach. Not for you apparently.
