Meanwhile we [USA] have huge incoming, plus we are still making new people the old fashioned way. "The University of Wisconsin’s Yi told TNI that China’s TFR last year was 0.90 and could not have exceeded 1.1. Yi’s estimate is on the low end but is consistent with China Daily’s reporting of 1.05 in 2015. Replacement TFR for most societies is generally 2.1 although some think China’s replacement rate is actually 2.2 because of higher child mortality. In any event, China’s population will shrink fast. The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences projects China’s population will halve by 2100 if the TFR drops from 1.6 to 1.3. China’s TFR, however, is far lower than 1.3. If its TFR stabilizes at 1.2—1.2 would represent a big increase—China will have a population of only 480 million by the end of the century" The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. Just saw a pic of Liz Hurley in such a print and she looks good. But it's hard to recall anyone I've seen in real life who did so. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

France had the largest population in Europe from the end of the Roman Empire until the late 19th century. Between 1795 and 1866, France was the fourth most populous country in the world (behind China, India, and Russia); between 1866 and 1911, France was the third most populous country of Europe, behind Russia and Germany (unified on 18 January 1871). The French population in 1789 is estimated at roughly 28 million; by 1850, it was 36 million and in 1880 it was around 39 million. During this period the population collapse was not caused by war or disease worse than normal. The growth from 1850 to 1880 (0.27% per year on average) was still positive, but the now dominant population of Germany may have been a requirement for them to start the World Wars. |

terapined Member since: Aug 6, 2014 Threads: 73 Posts: 11814 | Saw this on FB and copied What a great story "76 years ago today, April 11, 1945, Robert Clary was liberated from Buchenwald Nazi concentration camp. He was the youngest of 14 children. Twelve other members of his immediate family were sent to Auschwitz. Clary was the only survivor. When he returned to Paris after the war, he learned that three of his siblings had not been taken away and survived the Nazi occupation of France. He played LeBeau on the TV show "Hogan's Heroes."" If you look at the cast of Hogan's Heroe's you will see that many of the actors escaped the terrors of Germany. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

A detachment of troops of the U.S. 9th Armored Infantry Battalion, arrived at Buchenwald on April 11, 1945 at 3:15 p.m. (now the permanent time of the clock at the entrance gate). Hogan's Hero's debuted on September 17, 1965 only 20 years later. I don't think they could have made Hogan's Hero's unless a number of the actors were survivors of the war. I certainly don't think they could have made it in the 1950s. The Producers, written and directed by Mel Brooks was released on March 18, 1968 about the play " Springtime for Hitler: A Gay Romp with Adolf and Eva at Berchtesgaden". But movie audiences are a bit more sophisticated, and people can choose not to go to a film. In the mid 1960's broadcast TV was the only type of inexpensive entertainment. |
