It will be interesting to see what actors get cast as the adult versions of these kids in IT: Chapter 2.

Lucky studio to get half a dozen kids to make a multi million dollar movie.

Sophia Lillis (born February 13, 2002) played Beverly Marsh : age 15
Finn Wolfhard (born 23 December 2002) played Richie Tozier: age 15
Jaeden Wesley Lieberher (born January 4, 2003) starring as Bill Denbrough: age 14
Wyatt Oleff (born July 13, 2003) as Stanley "Stan" Uris: age 14
Jack Dylan Grazer (born September 3, 2003) played Eddie Kaspbrak: age 14

I'm sure these kids are well paid, and being in a hit movie is great for their resume, but some of them will never see anything like this for the rest of their lives. They should get a small percentage once the return on the movie hits stratospheric heights.

The final weekend number is in for IT and it made $123.1 million.

If you would have told me earlier this year that IT would have a bigger opening weekend than the new Spider-Man movie, I would have told you you were crazy.

Heck, $123 million would be a respectable final domestic gross for a movie like this. That alone would warrant a sequel! (The Conjuring 2 barely made $100 million domestically and they're going ahead with The Conjuring 3....)

That is true. Get Out, earlier this year sold almost 20 million domestic tickets by the end of it's run, compared to "IT" selling 13.75 million tickets in the first weekend.

All Time R rated films (final gross)
8 The Exorcist WB $232,906,145 1973
20 Get Out Uni. $175,484,140 2017
27 Hannibal MGM $165,092,268 2001
32 Scary Movie Mira. $157,019,771 2000
52 The Blair Witch Project Art. $140,539,099 1999
59 The Conjuring WB (NL) $137,400,141 2013

The Exorcist sold over 100 million tickets, something considered unattainable by an R-rated horror film today.
Top Star Wars Films
Star Wars Fox 178,119,600 1977 (142,734,000 first run)
Star Wars: The Force Awakens BV 108,115,100 2015
The Empire Strikes Back Fox 98,180,600 1980
Return of the Jedi Fox 94,059,400 1983
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace Fox 90,312,100 1999

I heard you also have to account for a 5% loss of theaters. Texas and Florida both had theaters closed. (believe me I couldn't even find a 7-11 type store open for 36 hours much less anything else, and I'm way near the top of the state in Florida.)

"The Hitman's Bodyguard"

If you enjoyed the silly, over the top fun of "Expendables 3", you will also enjoy this extended chase / shoot 'em up.

Samuel L. Jackson plays... well... pretty much the same foul mouthed character Samuel L. Jackson always plays, and Ryan Reynold's plays... well... Deadpool without super healing power and no costume.

Lot's of fist fighting, stabbings, shootings, car crashes and chases.

Salma Hayek is tremendous in a supporting role, almost out Samuel L. Jackson'ing THE Samuel L. Jackson.

I think the Wizard would enjoy this movie once it is on Netflix because:
-- There is extended cursing in Spanish!
-- The movie's action moves from London through Amsterdam. One of the key plot arcs is the need to get to The Hague by a strict deadline. Unfortunately, Americans have no idea if the characters are close or not, which really spoils the tension. Perhaps a map or roadsign should have been shown every now and then to give the audience an idea where they were.

I give it one "A" out of a triple "A" executive level protection certification.

Sacario. What a great movie, totally impressed. No
CGI crap, just acting and story. And the female lead
isn't some blown out of proportion super cop, in the
real world of men she never gets the upper hand
even once. It's a story that sneaks up on you, it's
not till almost the end that we find out what's
really going on. And after that, everything that
happens is just fine, no matter how morally
disturbing it is.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Ten day gross and "It" is higher than Spider Man and Wonder Woman. Truly a phenomena.

10 day gross domestic ----------------- Final gross domestic
$319,032,604 Beauty and Beast BV $504,014,165
$248,420,911 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 BV $389,805,864
$218,710,619 It WB (NL) ---------------------------------------------
$207,275,524 Spider-Man: Homecoming Sony $330,262,248
$206,343,175 Wonder Woman WB $410,762,300

Wonder Woman had a spectacular finish that pushed it up to $411 million. That may be impossible for a movie like "It"

Did you mean "Sicario"? Emily Blunt as an FBI agent assigned to a cross border drug task force. Benicio Del Toro as his usual creepy self. A complex story with a memorable shootout sequence. I thought Emily Blunt's performance was pretty weak, but the story was interesting, and the cinematography was first rate.

There's no competition out there now, and "IT" has been getting good word of mouth as a gross scarer. "Mother" opens soon. Maybe it will catch the wave of moviegoers interested in horror films... or get pummeled as too similar to spend money on.
