I would expect 100K deaths a year from Covid in the US for several years. That should be manageable and allow a normal life.

Here’s some advice for you... wear a mask because it makes other people feel good. There is no circumstance I won’t wear one if asked, no matter how silly the reason.

Which reminds me, is a body temp of 94F with one of those "gun" type infared readers normal for someone outside for an hour or more? They took it within minutes after I entered I had been outside so I figure the surface temp of my skin was low due to that. 94 would be pretty bad hypothermia, no?

A true core body temperature of 94 is close to death. Without special techniques as used in intentional comas, etc.. Supposefly they are not taking your skin temperature, by the way. I have less than zero trust in their accuracy.
