It was only about causing ruckus before the elections as Democrats only care about power and themselves, not the people. You can expect them to take the wrong messages from off-year elections in blue states to think they have a mandate.

What I see are workers working without pay, with their boss saying they might not get back pay when the money come through. All civilian federal employees should call in sick the same day and dare the feds to do something about it.

Aren’t you a lawyer? You know the LAW says they are required to work even during a government shutdown’? I’m sure there are defined rules as to calling in sick. Usually a low number of days is on the honor system. And once you exceed that number usually requires a ‘doctor’s note’.

Once the shutdown ends (seems like soon) this problem goes away.

You can become an ATC with an Associates Degree! And median salary is around $150k. Seems hard to believe there aren’t enough interested in the gig to have enough applicants.
