Just a reminder that you don't know me

So you retract that you told us you
were raised in the Catholic religion?
If it's not true, why did you say it.
I asked you this before when you
said we know 'nothing' about you
and you never replied.

Where that matter/energy came from is precisely the realm of philosophy, metaphysics, and religion.

If you look at history, all sorts of things ascribed to the gods are now known to be natural phenomena: the stars, the movements of the planets, comets, meteors, eclipses, disease, weather, pests, and more.

Given this track record of abject failure, why should we entrust a question as important as the origin of the universe, or whether even the universe has an origin at all, to philosophy or religion?

Interesting.

But ALL stars are essentially immortal. Red dwarves burn so slowly they'll likely never run out of fuel. The rest have different end of main sequence scenarios, but they'll keep producing energy in some form for a far longer time than they spent on main sequence. If any star can cease to exist, curiously, it's black holes. They can evaporate through Hawking radiation (yes, that Hawking).

I'm sure your opinion is god is so
wonderful. Our opinion is, it's a
little more complicated than blaming
it on an old superstition named Yahweh.

God is wonderful and it is complicated. It is surely more complicated than just wishing that nothing created all we can see and wonder at.

that nothing created .

But but, there never was 'nothing', that's
the point. The universe is in a constant
state of evolution that's been going on
forever and will never end. You can't see
that so you invent a god so you won't have
to think about it anymore. That's all gods
are, feeble attempts at understanding. It's
throwing your hands in the air and giving
up. It gets insidious when the god people
demand that everybody do the same or
else.

Has the universe also been in constant motion? Is it not seeking the lowest point of energy through entropy? What began that? Is it not a gap that we haven't filled yet with our knowledge, God is the answer we logically can deduce as to why something rather than nothing exists. You are creating a gap that need that be there, you are making nothingness into a god.

There is no nothingness, never has been,
never will be. There has always been the
eternal somethingness that we are all
a part of. Much bigger and much grander
than some puny petty jealous man made
god. Why must man always reduce the
universe to the level of his own small
minded narcissism by creating deities
that are chauvinistic insufferable boors.
It doesn't say much for us as a race, does
it.

Talk about reducing things to your own small mindedness. Why do you believe that the universe is eternal? How can you explain the movement throughout our universe? You are living proof that there has been and is such a thing as nothingness. You have nothing to support your wild anthropocentric claims that the universe must be what Evenbob senses it to be because gosh darn it that is the way he wants it. So sad.
