I still can't figure out why the Church wants to be associated with these monsters.

Because they repent, and thus they are "born again" and are ok with the Jesus or something.

It's a great selling point, when you think of it. You can be Stalin's evil twin, repent, and receive accolades for it. Just don't dare be happy or enjoy life.

Narcissism unleashed in all it's glory,
the whole existence of the world is
about meeeeeee......

Sorry, it's not.

Why don't you drop the façade of claiming that your objection to Christianity is because there is not credible evidence, when even in your post you begrudgingly admit there is. Your objection is simply a philosophical and doctrinal one. You think that a God who loves us so much that He cares about how we live our lives and who wants us to be happy in this life and the next makes human beings seem too important. You think it is selfish of Christians to call God their Father and you think it is narcissistic for Christians to think that God cares two hoots about them.

If that kind of sums it up then why don't we focus on your real fundamental objections rather than continue to chase our tails in regards to your incorrect lack of evidence claims? It sounds like I could show you evidence and more evidence of things like the Shroud of Turin and its miraculous image, but you have no real interest in discussing that because it is not your real problem with Christianity. Your problem goes deeper than that. Fair enough.

But it IS all about you, I felt it first hand
when I tried to be a Christian 40 years
ago. Everything about Christianity is
personal and relates directly to the ego.

Jesus died for ME, for me personally, that's
what they tell you. Jesus cares about ME,
he's my best friend and said he will give
me anything I want if I just believe in him.
Jesus and god love me so much, they listen
to my every thought and watch my every
action to see if I'm worthy. God has a personal
plan just for me and me alone, different than
any plan he has for anybody else. God loves
me so much he wants one of his Church
leaders to listen to me privately tell him
all of my secrets. I could go on, but you get the point.

Sounds pretty narcissistic to me. And scary when
you consider god is a figment of the imagination.
It's obvious the Church is trying to control
people with this nonsense, there is no other
reason to do it.

But it IS all about you,

Isn't it really more about God and who He is and how much He loves us? Central to the Christian idea is that we cannot earn God's love, it is a free gift of unconditional love. God doesn't love me or you for what we have done or not done, He loves us because of who we are. You have somehow turned this inside out and made us as a human being into something that is demanding or deserving of God's love. That would be narcissistic and that is why such an idea is rejected by Christianity.

The message of Christianity is that every person is loved freely by God not because of what they have done and often in spite of what they have done. It is an empowering message of freedom and love. Once this real and powerful love is accepted it has real power to change one's life for the better. It can be scary to trust that you are loved in such an awesome way by the creator of all things, especially when we think we are unlovable for some reason, but it is real and it is life-changing. It has nothing to do with control and everything to do with hope, faith, and love.

No. It's a self centered religion, it revolves
around the ego of the believer.

Like any cult, the cult of Jesus is centered around
you. What can being friends with Jesus do for you
today, what can praying to Jesus help you out with.
All cults are like this, they make you feel like center
of attention, their Lord cares deeply about every
facet of you and to keep him that way, you have
to stay in line, you have to toe the line, because if
you deviate you will lose the caring the Lord heaps
on you just for believing in him. It's like a drug, you
become dependent on the crutch of the cult, until
you can't function without it. Does this sound healthy
to you?
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

You went to the wrong church and now you're pissed off. Get over it. It's not all about you after all.

No. That's my point. Some churches suit some people, some suit others.
