Are you trying to show how impossible it is to actually believe there is no God, because you are doing a good job. Day living creatures worship the sun god; nocturnal creatures probably worship the moon. our experiences shape out beliefs I think the Egyptians had Ra, the god of life, love, and beer. perhaps that is all that is needed in the world anyway |

Do you believe the Muslim god exists? If not, please provide proof he does not. That's what you always demand of me. Lets cut out you bobbing and weaving and avoiding. Of course you don't believe Allah exists, or you would believe Yahweh and Allah are the same. You're now in a pickle, you can actually understand why a negative cannot be proven. Welcome aboard.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

First of all that is not what I have ever demanded of you. We both know you can't prove a negative. I am simply asking you to provide evidence as to why you are certain that something you cannot prove is true. You hold that there is absolutely no God, unlike me and my Muslim friend. Why do you believe that?
Allah is simply the Arabic word for God so I do believe in Allah. However, your point is that I don't believe in the same notion or understanding as a Muslim does concerning God. Do you see how that is very different than not believing in God at all? It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures. ( |

So you're saying Allah and Yahweh are the same god? What does 'understanding' have to do with it, are they the same god or aren't they. If they are, you and Muslims worship the same god. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

FrGamble Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 67 Posts: 7596 | No I am saying that Allah is the Arabic word for God. This means when a Christian prays in Arabic they use the word Allah. However, how a Christian and Muslim view God is radically different. It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures. ( |

So when a Muslim prays in Hebrew, they use the word Yahweh? They are one and the same god. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I'm trying to get an answer as to who the Muslim god is to Christians. Who are they praying to, your god or their own god. "When believing monotheists whether Christian, Muslim or Jewish pray to God in whatever language they use, the prayers all terminate at the same point: the one true God."
