Why do you keep feeding the troll? IMO what I said before applies to you: can't you just enjoy your event without getting into arguments? We can all take up the war back when you're back home. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

No he doesn't, quit saying that and pretending it's true. The dead stay dead, deep inside you know that. If you'd just spend 5min a day fighting the brainwashing of the Church, you might start getting closer to the truth. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

What's the difference, the internet is everywhere. I'm interested in why Poland hates the current pope, and acts like John Paul is still in charge. Poland is the most devout in Europe, 40% of Catholics go to mass once a week, compared to about 15% of the rest of Europe. 45 years ago, 90% went to mass, so 40% is kind of pathetic by those standards. Poland says Francis is trying to change most of what John Paul accomplished. Who knew god was so political. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

FrGamble Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 67 Posts: 7596 | I'm hiking out for the night to celebrate Mass with Pope Francis tomorrow. The Polish people have been wonderful and they love Pope Francis. I am so amazed that if you took your news from Bob you would think that the Church gathering millions of young people would be impossible. However, the Church is the only institution that could ever do something like this! The young Church is vibrant, exciting, and full of hope. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Really? Perhaps you've never heard of the Hajj? Or world cup soccer? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_peaceful_gatherings_in_history Christian things aren't even in the top 10. How could all of those people, representing religions with populations in the minority among several religions, and yet out-attending events of several majority population religions possibly be wrong about their beliefs? FrG has his head in the sand, he's been brainwashed through and through. Whatever they tell him he believes, it's very sad. They tell him only Catholics can get together without killing each other and he throws his hands in the air and says 'praise god, I know it's true'. What he needs is a really good deprogrammer. "Deprogramming refers to coercive measures to force a person in a controversial belief system to change those beliefs and abandon allegiance to the religious or social group associated with the belief system." If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Pretty sure I remember reading stories of people being rescued from "cults." I put it in quotations because it just as often as not be Christian based rescuers. Which I find ironic. A cult is the hard liquor of persuasion. Christianity is mostly the beer of persuasion. (although I have to say, getting young people out to an isolated area campsite for 48 - 72 hours is pretty close to brainwashing tactics. Kumbiya my friend, Kumbiyaaaaaaaa!) People are fooled into thinking the second isn't as faulty as the first. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

The Catholic Church is very much a cult. So is Mormonism, which is much harder to shake than the Church. Mormons will make life difficult for you. All you have with Catholics is the massive guilt involved when you leave. You know, the guilt that FrG claims doesn't even exist. The guilt the Church made into an institution. FrG will never know what's it's like to be guilt free. It's very sad.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

I read the article Pope Francis is still a Rock Star He will arrive in Poland and command rock star crowds Sure many in the Church don't trust him He's not anti-gay, not anti Muslim and trusts science The people in Poland that don't trust him are akin the conservatives in the USA that don't like him People that twist religion into hate, sure those people don't trust the pope So what if a lot of religious people in the USA don't like the Pope just like Poland, they are in the minority regardless He's still the biggest Rock Star on the planet I'm an atheist I'm also a huge fan of this Pope.
