Clearly you have no idea what the brownshirts were, how they operated, their history and what happened to them after Hitler's election. So I'd stop making an wholly inapt and inappropriate comparison for your own little jingostic point scoring. Invoking Hitler/Nazi's is sad. Really sad. It's the argument of the small minded mouth breather who echoes what propaganda his wireless is telling him that day. It's the self same argument that some are using on the sweeping, wild scale changes that Trump is making now he's in power. Comparing it to the Reichstag Fire Decree. That's bogus as well. Try thinking for yourself a little, Bob, and not using tired, trite comparison that falls under the merest scrutiny, and minimizes the actions of the nasty, destestable bastards that the Sturmabteilung were, and the SS after them. Wasn't that the night of the long knives? I don't think Golden Boy has the gall to do something like that, much as he'll come to hate half the people who voted for him. But in the first place, he doesn't have brown shirts or even black shirts. If the current government wants to do something actually good, they'd start by removing police enforcement of civil regulations, and criminal penalties for civil regulations as well. But this means all civil regulations, including those regarding immigration. In other words: don't bet on the current government on doing something sensible if it benefits the enemies of the state. Sure I do or I wouldn't have used it. They were Hitler thugs, who did just about anything asked of them. It's telling that the EPA's 4th biggest expenditure is sending their thugs around fining businesses that don't comply with their rules. Sounds a lot like a shadow gov't to me, they even have their own little army. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Hmm alternate facts in play? lol EB equates torture and death to fining somebody lol The logical disconnect is stupendous unless you believe in the fantasy of alternate facts Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

"Alternate Facts." LOL. What will the next liberal meme be? Will they come up with a new phrase? Or will they be too busy with a collective pants wetting over Trump making America great again to make up a new meme? The President is a fink. |

Only for the senior leaders, but yes, the Brownshirts were pretty much neutered after that. They existed until 1945, but no longer an effective force. They were also a means to an end for Hitler and his inner circle. There was a large independent streak, and they believe in the working class socialism aspect of the National Socialists, rather than the consolidation of power. Rohm want the SA to become the new army (with 3 million plus members) whereas the military and middle classes saw them as a threat. The SA had been one of the early supporters of Hitler, and also one of his main ways of fund raising in the early days. Once in power, the SA were removed, and the SS became the enforcement arm of the one party state, over and above the police. You mean there's an agency that enforces the rules and regulations set in place by the rightful government of the USA? Bloody hell, whatever next. Keep talking, it's exposing your ignorance. The SA didn't actually do anything Hitler asked them. That's one reason why Rohm was removed. They also pre-dated Hitler, and had a different agenda to Hitler's brand fascism. Nice try, Bob. Keep making a false equivalence that doesn't work. You'll be telling me that the IRS is just like the Khmer Rouge next. Sure they did. "Their primary purposes (brownshirts) were providing protection for Nazi rallies and assemblies, disrupting the meetings of opposing parties, fighting against the paramilitary units of the opposing parties.. and intimidating Slavic and Romani citizens, unionists, and Jews – for instance, during the Nazi boycott of Jewish businesses." They were involved with Hitler on every level and took their marching orders from him. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
