I guess Mission can be un-glad.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

As of 8/27/21, it looks like Caleb Wallace is still clinging to life.

But conservative radio hosts Dick Farrel and Phil Valentine are not so lucky. At least they recanted their anti-vax statements before they died.

Here a nice Australia broadcast professionals' page regarding COVID-19 and the radio business: https://radioinfo.com.au/news/new-karma-variant-covid-only-affects-anti-vax-radio-hosts.

Thanks for the correction.

Thanks to ChesterDog for the correction. Now, we have to see if the mortal plane of existence ends up making the correction.

Meh. I’m used to cheerfulness not lasting very long, so it’s fine.

My wife just texted me that the sister-in-law with covid just died two hours ago. Fully vaccinated, 70 years old. We were doing the math yesterday. The sick person was sitting in the back with her sister. In front of them were three people. The woman who just died was sitting directly in front of the sick woman in the back. Two and a half hours to the reunion two and a half hours back. She got the full brunt of the viral load. She probably got enough of the Delta variant to kill a horse. Every time the sick woman in the back coughed or sneezed it went right on her. Her sister sitting next to her in the very back was the next sickest. My wife was in the third seat in the second row and she had mild sickness. The two men in the front took the longest to show symptoms and we now think they got it from their wives later. Their wives were the one who just died and the second sickest sister in the very back. If you can follow all of that. It really follows the guidelines of what they've been telling us. Nobody was wearing a mask and their degrees of sickness match where they were sitting in the van

A side note, I spent two and a half hours today investigating K95 respirator masks. The difference between N95 and K95 is K is made in China but they are just as effective as the ones made in the US. Difference being the ones made here might fit better because the strap goes around your head and not over your ears. But you can modify that easily enough. They have really come down in price. I got a very well-known well-reviewed brand name on Amazon, 10 for $10. Just three months ago they were $40. And they are reusable. I'm getting them because I'm going to start going to the brick-and-mortar casino again where everybody is required to wear a mask.

Getting sick is not in my plans. My brother went to the hospital with kidney failure on July 22nd and he was there for 30 days. He is now in rehab for we don't know how long. He has been bedridden for 35 days which means he has lost 50% of the muscle in his legs. Because he has no family except me I am now in charge of taking care of his property and if he stays in rehab longer than 100 days Medicaid will take his social security check and he will have no income to pay his bills with. So I cannot afford literally, to get sick.

Thanks for sharing the news Bob, that sucks. I know even if you weren't close you had years of history. That really hits home there. It just doesn't get any more real than that.

Years before Covid, I would have been horrified being in a tight space like that van with someone else obviously hacking germs. When I finally got a job that had paid sick leave [44] I hated the guys that would come to work sick and save their leave time for vacation. Even being pro union, I would vote their sick leave away from them if they come in spewing just to save leave time.

And the news about your brother, man that's hard to take.

That is so messed up that ONE unvaccinated Person who was coughing and sneezing constantly caused this... I'd be beyond LIVID at the IDIOT who chose to not wear a mask when they knew that they were. A. VERY sick and B. Not Vaccinated. That IDIOT sick person basically caused Manslaughter. I feel so bad for the Sister In Law who died because of this sick IDIOT! :(

I care about these things about as much as I would expect Evenbob to care about similar happening to me.

Want to guess how much that is?

I do have some empathy for Bob but I really don't care who dies. I think it would be interesting if all humans died in the next two weeks. I would just like to experience that and watch how everyone deals with it.
