All you have to do to know that Omicron is significantly less of a threat than Covid or Delta is look at case & death relativity.
Last January the US had a 7 Day Average of Cases at 250K & 3500 daily deaths.
Now we have 800K average cases and 1800+ daily deaths.
Your UK stats are similar, 5X the cases now and 20% of the deaths from a year ago. It doesn't take a rocket scientist.
Sure, vaccination rates make up some of that difference, but Omicron performed similarly in S. Africa
And SA's vaccination rate is very low compared to the US or UK.

Frankly you needed 4 Co-Morbidities to fall into the pool of 75% of the original Covid/Delta deaths.
This whole thing has been a nothing burger if you were under 30 and weren't:
Obese, Diabetic, Cardiac/Cancer patient, Asthmatic or immuno compromised.
But don't say that out loud, you're likely to get banned by someone.

Someday the CDC will let out the real facts regarding age & health striations of those that required hospitalization or died.
Likely when a GOP member occupies the WH and has authority over the CDC Director to get this info out in public.
We're going to find out that if you were under 65 & not about to die of your Co-morbidities anyway,
you didn't really need the vaccine if you were OK getting a bad flu nor did we need to all be locked down.
It made sense to be scared of the unknown from mid-March to about June 1st of 2020.
But after that and certainly after the vaccines were widely distributed by March/April of 2021, the government's job was over.

Covid will go down as the biggest Democratic overreach of government power in the history of Western Democracy.
My God, if you live in Canada, Austrailia or New Zealand, you really got screwed by your belief that you lived in a free country.
At least they are letting the stadiums in the UK fill up for great matches like City vs. Chelsea this AM.
No vaccination requirement to attend EPL games pre-Omicron, hopefully they haven't changed that.
The US can't even get that part of society right at this point. Vaccine requirements everywhere at US Sporting Events.

Why? That's not what is overcrowding the hospitals; Covid is. The hospitals were fine before that. That's why I'm not discriminating between vaccinated and unvaccinated folks; just don't treat Covid at all.

We could end all healthcare; that would also be fine, I guess. The cost savings would be tremendous, no more insurance industry, Medicare/Medicaid gone, shorter lifespans making Social Security viable, people not living beyond their productive years, for the most part. Seems a little extreme to end all healthcare, though...especially with all the money already invested into it.

You still don't seem to understand TP that half or more of the antivacers are not into the internet bullshit about the danger of the vaccines. They are trying to protect your civil rights from an overbearing government. People who did this used to be called heroes.
