How is porn not art. Because some people get addicted to it, you want to get rid of it completely. That's just nuts. There are people addicted to eating corn starch, should we get rid of that too? The truth is porn shows people involved in a very human act and the sexually perverted Church just can't stand that. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

As someone who is very worried about religious freedom in this country I would agree with you. I think my choice of words was in the context of a discussion about the government forcing religious groups to go against their faith. Ironic that I would be dinged by you for supporting government attacks on the first amendment when the first and foundational freedom given there is the Freedom of Religion. I should remind you about speaking about the Catholic Church when you have no experience of it. Secondly, I should tell you that what you say about porn is not true at all. The sex with relatives is acting, these are porn actors, remember. Teens have to be 18 and able to prove it or they get shut down. Group sex is hardly twisted. It's the same harmless porn that was around 40 years ago, only with better acting and better looking people. I would say porn does give men unreal contrast of what the size of their member should be. And the women are generally better looking than what the average man will ever be with in real life. But it's fantasy, like every TV show. It's entertainment. Some people have fantasies, like having sex with their their step brother, or stepmother. You know that, right? Some actually do it in real life. Woody Allen married one of his wife's adopted kids. But he's Jewish so it doesn't matter. I envy you in a way. You think sex is something it isn't, you have it up on pedestal and you worship it from afar. If you ever get to experience married sex, I can only imagine your disappointment when you wonder what all the fuss was about. Why do you think prostitution is called the oldest profession. They can't even agree what constitutes a porn addict. In my wife's church if you look at porn at all you're an addict. Porn has been around forever. After the invention of the photo, the first major mass printing of pictures was of naked women, because the demand was so high. I once heard a famous doctor on the radio say if you drank three beers every weekend watching sports, you were an alcoholic. Now, if you look at porn three times a week, you're an addict. Ridiculous, we live in a society of little old ladies in charge of our morality. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
