Science
rules in every sector of life,

Beware of this day. I shudder to imagine life where instead of morality to guide us we are guided by technological efficiency.

For me to understand your thought here you should further define your use of the term science. Do you consider democracy science? Is justice science? Is music and art science? Is friendship and love ruled by science?

I shudder to think where we would be if
we hadn't eventually shrugged off the
stranglehold the Church had on science
and medicine. In the 14th century, probably.

We would have discovered genetics, heliocentrism, and countless other advancements just like we did in real history.

What again is your definition of "science"?

Then why do they stay? Why does the indoctrination last?
They like it. What's wrong with that? People are free to do what they want in Trumpmerica whether the elites like it or not.

And banned them all and imprisoned anyone
who tried to use them. That's the difference
between the Church and real science. The
Church always asks what fits into their narrow
view and disregards the rest as heresy.

You have certainly shrugged off truth and let falsehoods rule your life.

Good comeback Bob. Come on just because you have a child's understanding of history doesn't mean you have to use a childish insult. Instead just read some real history.

I'm trying out the Socratic look for a bit:

Question: is it sinful to pray to pray for someone to die quickly and without pain, rather than suffer a lingering, painful death?

Don't be too hasty when answering.

I think the Socratic method is a good one.

I think that all would desire to die without pain.
